Two suspects taken into custody in West Hollywood, LASD confirms


Two men — including the brother of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua — were arrested over the weekend in connection with the alleged theft of a vehicle belonging to Los Angeles Lakers forward Adou Thiero, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD).
Authorities identified the suspects as Samson Nacua (27) and Trey Rose (27). Both are accused of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and remain in custody as the investigation continues.


Vehicle Tracked to West Hollywood Hotel


LASD deputies were called to the One Hotel in West Hollywood after Thiero’s SUV was tracked to the location, law enforcement officials told NBC4 Investigates.
According to investigators, the suspects allegedly:
• Took possession of the SUV without consent
• Valeted the vehicle upon arrival at the hotel
• Entered the hotel shortly afterward
Deputies reviewed hotel security footage, identified the suspects, and located them nearby before making the arrests.


Details of Alleged Theft Remain Unclear


Authorities said it is uncertain where or when the SUV was taken, and no additional details regarding the circumstances of the alleged theft have been released.
Neither suspect’s legal representation has been publicly identified, and it is unclear whether either has retained an attorney.


Connection to NFL Star Puka Nacua


One of the arrested individuals, Samson Nacua, is the brother of Puka Nacua, the star wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams. Puka Nacua has not commented publicly on the incident.
