• Abruptly turned back toward the airport moments later
• Was scheduled to fly from Sarasota, Florida, to the Bahamas later that day
Concerns about Biffle’s involvement emerged when it was revealed that the aircraft was owned by GB Aviation Leasing, a company headquartered at an address associated with Biffle in Mooresville, North Carolina.
