The longtime couple announces the arrival of baby ‘Sunshine’ with heartfelt Instagram post

Anna Kournikova and her longtime partner Enrique Iglesias have welcomed their fourth child, expanding their family with the arrival of a baby affectionately nicknamed “Sunshine.”
The couple shared the happy news on Monday, December 22, posting a joint photo on Instagram of their newborn swaddled in a striped blanket. Kournikova, 44, captioned the image:
“My Sunshine 12.17.2025.”

A Joyful New Chapter for the Private Couple

News of the birth comes just months after People reported in August that the former tennis star was pregnant and that the couple were “very happy to become parents again.”
Kournikova and Iglesias, 50, are already parents to:
• Twins Lucy and Nicholas (8)
• Daughter Mary (5)
Speculation about a fourth pregnancy began over the summer when Kournikova was spotted with what appeared to be a baby bump while out with her children.

Keeping Family First

Kournikova’s absence from Iglesias’ July 5 concert in Spain — his first performance in his home country in six years — further fueled pregnancy rumors. The couple is famously private and has consistently chosen to keep family milestones low-key.
They first surprised fans in 2017, when it was revealed they had secretly welcomed twins. Kournikova later announced the birth of daughter Mary in January 2020, sharing a rare glimpse from the delivery room.

A Relationship Built on Commitment, Not Marriage

Kournikova and Iglesias met in 2001 on the set of Iglesias’ “Escape” music video and have been together ever since. Despite never marrying, both have been open about their views on commitment.
“Marriage isn’t important to me,” Kournikova said in a 2011 interview.
“I believe in commitment, trust and respect.”
Iglesias echoed similar sentiments in 2017, noting that their bond is no different from that of a married couple.

Life Away From the Spotlight

Growing Family, Lasting Love

While the pair were once tabloid fixtures, they have largely stepped back from public life in recent years to focus on raising their children. Kournikova made a rare public appearance earlier this year after health concerns briefly surfaced, but she was later seen active and well with her family in Miami.
In a 2023 interview, Iglesias reflected on their lasting connection:
“When we met, we understood each other’s worlds. That understanding helped a lot. We just got stronger and stronger.”

With the arrival of their fourth child, Kournikova and Iglesias continue to build a family rooted in privacy, stability, and long-term commitment — on their own terms.
