Panathinaikos Ascends to Top of the European Basketball League
Panathinaikos rose to the top of the European basketball league with their 95-81 win in Istanbul over Anadolu Efes in the fifth round.
The first half was closely contested, ending 43-42 in favour of the Greek visitors, but Panathinaikos dominated the third quarter, pulling ahead by 17 points (69-52).
Their win marked their fourth victory of the season, thanks especially to their Turkish star Jedi Osman who scored 29 points as the game’s top scorer.
